Confucius Says - from the chairman
As we head towards the 2008 Beijing Olympics over these next few Winter months, the will to win, the desire to suceed, the urge to reach one's potential... this wll all be highly evident as we will all become increasingly immersed in the effotrts of both the competing individual athletes and numerous teams.
These are actually the underlying principles in Ballina RSL's approach to business excellence across our organisation on an ongoing basis. By this, I mean...
The will to continue to win best outcomes for members and the Ballina community in a healthy and competitive regional marketplace...
The desire to succeed by focusing on continuous improvement in all that we do... building relationships... and by constantly striving to place our clubs in the strongest position possible to face the industy's vast challenges...
The urge to reach our full potential via thourough planning, investment in our staff and through taking the time to both learn and know our customers.
Our recent services survey distributed to both members and non-members has seen an impressive response. We are looking forward to receiving and following up on the results... and to sharing some of them with you.
Thank you to all those who took the time to tell us what you want!
Clubs are indeed considerate in their dealing with their communities. The Ballina RSL and Ballina RSL Bowling Club have always shown a strong commitment to our community though our various, ongoing contributions. In the face of yet more recent industry change and issues, we will endeavour to do everything in our power to keep our community efforts and connections solid wherever possible.
It was fantastic to see the huge turn out for this year's Anzac Day Community Commemorative Services. I was also eager to learn more about the Gallipoli experience from those members who made the pilgrimage via the Club's annual Gallipoli Tour. Seems I might even be making the pilgrimage next year - it would be great to have many more members joining us in future.
My warmest wishes to all members and their families for a cosy Winter. If you're in need of some cheer, please drop in to see us at tha Ballina RSL or Ballina RSL Bowling Club, There's sure to be something steaming on our menus, something to smile about and something to celebrate... and on that note... go the Aussie team in Beijing!
