The Ballina RSL is going from strength to strength. The recent renovations have certainly been well-accepted by both members and the community. We will be striving to continue to offer members and visitors a range of quality entertainment, dining and leisure experiences.
We will now also be taking further steps to progress the club’s masterplan with the construction on our boardwalk commencing early in the new year. By becoming a major link for public access to the river and foreshore walkway, the Ballina RSL will be helping to create some substantial public benefits.”
Gary Hooley also acknowledged the inspiring efforts from outgoing Chairman Bob Grant and outgoing, retiring club directors Ted Armstrong and Bruce Stacy. “We will miss Bob, Bruce and Ted but know that they won’t be too far away as they’ll be visiting the club regularly to enjoy the fruits of their labour. The mateship bonds between our club’s past and present directors has always been strong. We are also proud to announce and welcome two new incoming directors to the board – Graeme “Blue” McNally and Bill Moore.”
