The long awaited, major refurbishment of the ground floor of your club is about to commence! On completion, you will have one of the most attractive and comfortable hospitality venues on the Far North Coast. The main purpose of the work is to provide our members and community with amenities that you can continue to enjoy and be proud of.
Naturally, there will be the usual upheaval that occurs with major building works and the decision by the Board and Management to temporarily relocate our Ballina RSL Club Ground Floor operations to the First Floor was taken with your safety and well-being in mind. Whilst there will be some deviations from the norm for everyone - members, visitors and staff alike - in using the relocated facilities on the First Floor, please rest assured that our team will be doing everything possible to ensure your ongoing comfort.
After undertaking a detailed tender submission process, the Board has appointed James Clifford Constructions as the builder for the renovation works. Members will be pleased to know that every effort will be made to source local contractors for the various trades involved in the renovation works. Potentially, there may be instances where the Board and Project Superintendent form the opinion that the lowest tendered price does not conform to the needs of the club.
Gaming tax and smoking legislation remain as real issues for the club industry as we move forward and place our club in a strong position to continue to meet the needs of members ... and exceed your expectations in service standards and in what we are able to give back to our community.
At the end of the day, the upcoming changes at the club are simply another form of community investment. I thank you all for your loyalty and support.
