Ballina Star Finder

The Grand Final of the 2007 Ballina’s Star Finder competition, sponsored by the Ballina RSL and Gary Fox the Good Guys, took place on Sunday November 18 at the Ballina RSL Club. Twelve finalists entertained a crowd of 382, in their final chance to become the 2007 Ballina’s Star Finder.

Judges awarded Phil Mayer (Ballina) with 1st place, closely followed by Jessica Curry (Ballina) in 2nd place and Tracy Candy (Clunes) & Sky Wood (Kyogle) tying for 3rd Place.

A total of $1,910.00 was collected on the door. The $5.00pp entry fee was donated to Autism Spectrum Australia (Far North Coast Centre for Autism, Alstonville Branch) www.aspect.org.au

Semi Final number three of the 2007 Ballina’s Star Finder competition, sponsored by the Ballina RSL and Gary Fox the Good Guys, was held on Sunday November 11 at the Ballina RSL Club. The final four contestants progressing through to the Grand Final were Brett Kepnich (Yamba), Sky Wood (Kyogle), Tracey Candy (Clunes) and Madelaine Patrech (Lennox Head).

This Sunday November 18, promises to be a fantastic evening of live entertainment at the Ballina RSL Club. The twelve finalists will take the stage from 7.30pm in an effort to win the fantastic prizes.

Tickets for the Grand Final are available now at the Club. Get in early as there is a limited number of tickets available. All proceeds on the night are donated to Autism Spectrum Australia (Far North Coast Centre for Autism, Alstonville Branch) www.aspect.org.au

Progressing through to the Grand Final were Jesse Mount (Ballina), Jessica Curry (Ballina), Rikki Lee Petrie (Knockrow) and Sarah Grant (Lismore).

This Sunday November 11, promises to be a fantastic afternoon of live entertainment at the Ballina RSL Club. The final ten semi finalists will take the stage from 2.30pm in an effort to secure their place in the 2007 Grand Final scheduled for Sunday November 18. Tickets are available now at the Club.

Heat 10 of the competition was dedicated to 14 of the semi finalists who took the opportunity to practice in front of the audience and one last tip from the judges before the business end of the competition.

This Sunday October 28 promises to be a fantastic afternoon of live entertainment at the Ballina RSL Club. Nine semi finalists will take the stage from 2.30pm in an effort to secure their place in the 2007 Grand Final.
