2008 Candlelight Dinner Show Series

Upstairs at the Ballina RSL Club . Featuring a Las Vegas style cabaret, combining music and entertainment with a sumptuous candlelit two-course dinner.  Dinner & Show $39.90 per person.

KILLER QUEEN 

 

Relive the rock and roll glory days of Freddy Mercury and Queen when Killer Queen takes the stage at Ballina RSL on Friday 17 October for an action-packed, entertaining dinner show event.

In their quest to keep the Queen legacy alive, Killer Queen showcases the music of one the most legendary rock bands of the twentieth century, and pays homage to its charismatic and flamboyant front man.

The popularity of Queen’s music, long after they recorded their last song, is phenomenal, and it’s not surprising that Queen fans all over the world are lining up to get a dose of their favourite music live at the Killer Queen show.

Bearing an uncanny resemblance to Freddie Mercury, Brisbane based performer Johnny Blunt brings Queen back to life, with the same soaring vocals, energy and antics that Freddie himself brought to the stage.

It’s not just Johnny that has been likened to a Queen band member. Guitarist Anthony Smith’s mastery is often compared to Brian May (original Queen guitarist). He uses a signature copy of Brian’s guitar to recreate the same haunting sound that Queen fans remember so well.

The Killer Queen Show consistently plays to packed houses across the country and abroad, with a fan base spanning over several continents. They have appeared on Channel 9, featured on 4KQ and 4BC, and because of his uncanny likeness to Freddie Mercury, Johnny was recently featured in Woman’s Day.

The Killer Queen show at Ballina RSL will begin with Queen hits from the 70s, the decade of leather and long hair, through to the 80s and 90s when Queen were at the pinnacle of rock and roll, with hits such as Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Are The Champions and of course Bohemian Rhapsody.
