Aside from our three Bowls Clubs and fabulous greens at the Ballina RSL Bowling Club, Ballina RSL offers a hugh variety of sporting opportunities for all Club members.

MEN'S BOWLING CLUB:

The Men's Bowling Club organise bowls three afternoons each week:
Tuesdays: Self-Select Men's Triples (Mufti). Super Tuesday (2 Rounds where winners play winners in Round 2, and extra prize money is available) is held the 4th Tuesday each month.
Fridays: Self-Select Open Pairs (i.e. 2 Men, 2 Ladies, or One of Each (Mufti))
Saturdays:Club-Select Mixed Triples (Club uniform preferred).
On Self-Select days single entries are welcome.
On Fridays and Saturdays, Friendly Fire is available (i.e nominate your own team and opposition).
For all days, names need to be in by 10.30am, either on the nomination sheet in the Club, or by phoning the Bowls Office (6686 6205) between 10 and 10.30am on bowls days. Play starts at 12.30pm.
New members are always welcome. Ring the Club (6686 6888), or Michael Gray, for more information. Free coaching is available for all new players and bowls on loan can be arranged. Members from other Clubs are welcome to play in all games, or to roll up on our greens.
WOMEN'S BOWLING CLUB:

The Women's Bowling Club play on Thursday mornings. Play begins at 9.30am. Names need to be in between 8.00am and 8.30am. Phone 6686 6205 (bowls hot line) on the day, or put your name on the nomination sheet at the club. Green fees are $16.50 which includes lunch and tea/coffee.
New members are always welcome. Free coaching is available and a loan of bowls can be arranged. For more information ring the club 6686 6888 or secretary Margaret 6686 3597.
Players from other clubs are welcome to join us. Bowls uniform preferred or bowls leisure wear acceptable
SANDFLIES BOWLING CLUB:

The Sandflies Bowling Club play every Sunday from 9am (names in 8.15am). Cost of membership to the Sandflies is only $3 per year, however you must already be part of the Royal Bowling Association to join. The Club also participate in regular trips away with Inter-Club return visits to places such as Lismore, Lennox Head, Broadwater and Coraki. They often even organise trips to places as far afield as Brisbane. There is a definite strong social aspect to the Club. Special event charity days are often organised such as the 2005 Wallace & Co Charity Day held on Sunday, 6th November, which raised $1023 for the Cancer Council of Australia.

The Fishing Club hold their monthly meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Ballina RSL Club. Fishing times are announced at each of these meetings, however generally Estuary Fishing is from 2pm Saturday - 12 noon Sunday on the weekend before the meeting (BBQ lunch afterwards), and Deep Sea Fishing is held the Sunday after the meeting from daylight start till 1pm. Cost to join is only $20 for Ballina RSL Club Ltd members. Anyone is welcome to join including juniors (14 years+). An annual competition is held in the categories of Juniors, Ladies and Opens.

The Golf Club meet every Sunday. Hit off time is from 6-7am. Most games are played at the Ballina course, with a few games held on away courses throughout the year. Membership is only $5 for Ballina RSL Club Ltd members. Women and juniors are welcome.
SMALL BORE RIFLE CLUB:

The Air Rifle Club started in 1980. They meet twice a week, on Tuesday afternoons from 5.30-7pm and on Saturday mornings from 10am - noon. Membership is $5 per year. Members of the Air Rifle Club must also be members of the Ballina RSL Club Ltd and the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA). They must also hold a current firearms licence. All three cards must be shown prior to being allowed to shoot each session. The Club has approximately 50 registered members.

The Summer Swimming Club meets every Sunday from 8am at the Olympic Pool in Ballina over the warmer months (October - Easter). The competition is run on a handicap basis which means you do not need to be an excellent swimmer, you just need to compete on a regular basis! Membership for the Summer season is only $5 for Ballina RSL Club Ltd members.

The Winter Swimming Club meets every Sunday from 9am at Shaws Bay over the cooler months (Easter - October). They often play a social game of volleyball before the swims. Their affiliation with larger swimming organisations allows the Club to regularly compete in National Title competitions. Membership for the Winter season is only $5 for Ballina RSL Club Ltd members.

The Snooker Club hold competitions in the Snooker Room at the Ballina RSL Club every Tuesday and Thursday night. Entries from 6pm, play starts 6.30pm. The Snooker Club has an annual program of different competitions, such as Snooker Doubles, Billiard Championships, Handicaps Snooker and Handicaps Doubles. As part of the Far North Coast Snooker Association, they also participate in 7-8 major championships throughout the year. 1 year membership of the Snooker Club is only $5 for Ballina RSL Club Ltd members.
MARINE MODELER'S CLUB:

The Marine Modeller's Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month from 9am - midday at Kingsford Smith Lake. Boats can be hired to little kids as well as to big kids of 70 years of age! Visitors are welcome to participate, however a $10 fee for membership is required after 3 Regatta Days. Come along for a great social day out!
RSL ALL SAINTS NETBALL CLUB:

The All Saints Netball Club has teams from Under 9s through to Opens. They also have a team for people with disabilities. Prices vary depending on age and include registration with the NSW Netball Association.
